Dorota Roqueplo

Born in Neuilly, France. She completed her education at The International Fashion and Costume Design School in Paris (Ecole Internationale des Arts de la Mode).

Dorothée Roqueplo is considered one of the best Polish costume designers. She works in film productions as well as in theater and in advertisement.

She has been nominated and awarded many times the Polish Film Academy Award – ‘Orły’ /Eagles, as well as Gdynia Film Festival Award - Golden Lions for films - 'Hiszpanka / Influenza' by Lukasz Barczyk, 'Warsaw 44' by Jan Komasa, 'The Mill and The Cross' by Lech Majewski (recreation of Bruegel painting, starring Charlotte Rampling, Michael York and Rutger Hauer), 'Nikifor' by Krzysztof Krauze among them.

In 2019 "Corpus Chrisit" had its premiere. Dorota is the author of costume design for this film. It has won 33 wins and 9 nominations at various international film festivals around the world, including Edipo Re Award and Label Europa Cinemas Awarda at Venice Film Festival, 10 awards at Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, 3 awards at Minsk International Film Festival, 2 awards at El Gouna Film Festival and 2 awards at CinEast 2019. 

"Corpus Christi" was nominated for the Academy Award in the category International Feature Film.

Latest feature film projects with Dorota's costumes include: "Kos", Święto ognia", "Magnezja" , "Brigitte Bardot Cudowna", "Strzępy" and "Fucking Bonrholm".

Dorota is a member of Polish Film Academy, European Film Academy and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
