Emilia Czartoryska

Emilia has been shaping the visual language of Polish cinema for over two decades. Her work spans historical and contemporary productions, including feature films, television series, and commercials. She is the winner of the Polish Film Award Eaglefor Best Costume Design for Jan P. Matuszyński’s acclaimed The Last Family.

Emilia has collaborated repeatedly with Matuszyński, designing costumes for the award-winning TV series The King of Warsaw. Her recent film credits include Zupa nic by Kinga Dębska and Bartosz Blaschke’s debut Sonata—both selected for the main competition at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia and warmly received by audiences and critics alike. Sonata was also a contender in the Polish competition at the Camerimage festival.

Her latest projects reflect both versatility and a distinctive artistic touch: Netflix’s The Green Glove Club directed by Tadeusz Śliwa, Maciej Kawalski’s Dangerous Men, praised by critics and audiences, and Sami Swoi. Początek directed by Artur Żmijewski. Most recently, Emilia designed the costumes for Minghun, directed by Jan P. Matuszyński and starring Marcin Dorociński—a moving story about hope, love, and the search for meaning, exploring the boundaries of human experience.

In 2024, her work on Minghun earned her a nomination for Best Costume Design at the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.

Emilia is fluent in English and French.
