She began working in the film industry in 1980, assisting on Juliusz Machulski’s now cult classic Sexmission, and made her debut as Head Make-Up Artist in 1983 on Henryk Jacek Schoen’s The Swirl. Since then, she has contributed to hundreds of feature films, television productions, theatre performances and commercial campaigns, earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and versatility.
Equally at home on contemporary productions and period dramas, Liliana combines traditional make-up artistry with advanced prosthetic techniques. She is highly regarded for her expertise in wig making and styling, as well as special effects make-up, including prosthetics, masks, wounds, scars and other complex character transformations.
Her outstanding work has been recognised with two Polish Film Awards (Eagles) for Best Make-Up: in 2021 for 25 Years of Innocence. The Case of Tomek Komenda and in 2023 for Johnny (shared with Ludmiła Krawczyk). She also received an Eagle nomination for Marzec ’68.
Her recent credits include the Netflix crime series Forst, based on the bestselling novels by Remigiusz Mróz, Daniel Jaroszek’s feature film Drużyna AA, and Wojciech Smarzowski’s Dom dobry, one of the most widely discussed and commercially successful Polish films of 2025.
