His recent projects include the feature documentary Fioretta, directed by Matthew Mishory. The film follows Randy Schoenberg and his 18-year-old son Joey on a journey across Europe to uncover and reconnect with over 500 years of family history. For his work on Fioretta, Maciej received the Best Cinematography Award at the DOC LA – Los Angeles Documentary Film Festival. The film also won awards for Best Screenwriting and Best Producer.
Another recent feature, Wet Monday (Lany Poniedziałek), directed by Justyna Mytnik, is a magical coming-of-age story exploring trauma, healing, and the transformative power of empathy.
Most recently, Maciej served as cinematographer on Storm Rider: Legend of Hammerhead, directed by Zoran Lisinac and Domagoj Mazuran. The film is an ambitious international science-fiction adventure and the first standalone installment of the planned Hydroverse cinematic universe, marking a significant step into large-scale genre filmmaking.
