Magda Rutkiewicz-Luterek - Costume Designer

Magda Rutkiewicz-Luterek is considered one of the top Polish Costume Designers. A Polish philologist by education. In film industry she specializes in military costumes as well as military props among her other interests. Her portfolio includes the variety of feature films, TV series ('The Passing Bells' for BBC) and commercials (she is winner of the 'Golden KTR' 2020 for the costumes to Tyskie Brewery campaign). She was awarded three times with Polish Film Academy Award — The Eagle for 'Wolyn' by Wojciech Smarzowski, 'Warsaw 44' by Jan Komasa, 'Manhunt' by Marcin Krzysztalowicz and also awarded for best costumes on Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for 'Offsiders' by Kasia Adamik.

In 2022 she won prize for the best costumes on Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for "Wesele 2" directed by Wojciech Smarzowski.

Recently Magda won two bronze KTR awards for „There is always love”  - film created for Warsaw Uprising Museum, directed by Tadeusz Śliwa and for commercial "Tarczyński - Train" directed by Piotr Janowski.


Member of Polish Filmmakers Association (SFP) and Polish Film Academy (PAF). She is the daughter of Film Costume Designer Jadwiga Rutkiewicz-Mikulska and Director and Military Specialist — Jan Rutkiewicz.
