She creates costumes for films and TV series while also developing styling concepts and visual identities for artists and special projects.
She designed the costumes for „Under the Volcano”, directed by Damian Kocur – Poland’s official submission for the Academy Awards, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in the prestigious Centrepiece section. Her latest feature film, „What Belongs to Others” („Cudze rzeczy”), directed by Grzegorz Dębowski, will celebrate its world premiere in the Orizzonti Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, one of the world’s most prestigious film festivals. Most recently, she completed work on the TV series „Morfeusz”, directed by Maciej Migas, which will be released on SkyShowtime.
Her experience also includes projects connected to Copenhagen Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, where she styled celebrities and figures from the world of culture. She is responsible for shaping the image of leading Polish artists and is a co-creator of the creative collective EMSH.
Magdalena is also the author of cover shoots, image campaigns, and editorial projects for brands, magazines, and lookbooks.
In her work, she consciously moves between costume design and styling—two distinct yet interwoven visual languages. She combines cinematic sensitivity, psychological awareness, and a contemporary sense of aesthetics to create bold, cohesive, and emotionally resonant visual worlds. She is particularly inspired by the work of Andrei Tarkovsky and by cinema in which the image is crafted with the same level of care as the narrative. She is interested in the tension and harmony between scenography and costume, as well as their shared role in constructing the world and psychology of a film. Ultimately, she aims to develop further in the field of comprehensive visual identity creation for film projects.
She has recently completed work on a feature film and a TV series.
Her path and passion also include a background in sports—she is a medalist of the Polish Tennis Championships and an academic medalist of the European Championships. Her athletic background has equipped her with discipline, focus, and consistency, which remain essential elements of her creative approach today.
