Mateusz has been active in commercial market as a Cinematographer for seven years now. In that time he shot hundreds commercials, music videos and fashion films; working for agencies such as Publicis, BBDO, McCann, VML. He collaborated with many production houses in Poland and abroad with success. He was working in Dubai, RPA and Cuba showing that he is capable to fit in to any environment and work easily with any crew. His clients present diverse brands: Orange, Samsung, Sony, Pernod Ricard, Diageo, KFC, Ferrero, Sanofi, INGLOT, BaByliss Paris, Adidas, Reebok Classic. . He worked for Johnnie Walker brand in a project with Dawid Podsiadlo, also created highly acclaimed commercial for H&M ‘Station’ and ‘Prodrift’ for Samsung, enabling Mateusz to combine his greatest passions – for film and for drifting. In both, he is passionate about total control, coming into effect by mixture of human precission and technology capability. He feels confident in projects demanding cinematographer and directos in one.
His film Kas Krys was presented with an outstanding award in ‘Showroom Selection’ during Berlin Fashion Festival; He is the author of cinematography for ‘Paperless’, a film awarded KTR for its visual identification. In 2015 he was prized music video of the year by ESKA Music Award. Winner of the golden KTR 2020 for cinematography in the film Havana Club.
One of the last interesting project he worked on is the music video for the Margaret - New Tribe. This is the first Rak'n'Roll music clip that is created as a thanks for those, who made contributions to the Rak'n'Roll Foundation. Rak’n’Roll Music is a movement that lives primarily on Facebook, which is why the music video for the song was recorded in a 9:16 format suited to smartphone screens. The clip also uses the effect of augmented reality, which was created thanks to the involvement of the German artist Adrian Steckeweh, better known as Omega.C.
