Maciej Fajst

Maciej is a graduate of the High School of Theatre and Film Techniques in Łódź (Modeling Department) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (Design and Industrial Forms).

He has been working in production design since 1999, creating for feature films, TV series, commercials, and television programs. Since 2007, his focus has been almost exclusively on television dramas and feature films, and since 2015 he has worked as an independent production designer.

Maciej has collaborated with leading Polish directors including Borys Lankosz, Bartosz Konopka, Maciej Bochniak, Krzysztof Łukaszewicz, Bartłomiej Ignaciuk, Łukasz Jaworski, Adrian Panek, and Filip Zylber. His credits include Jan Holoubek’s 25 Years of Innocence and, together with Marek Warszewski, Doppelgänger. The Double — the opening film of the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia, awarded in multiple categories. In the past two years, he has designed sets for the TV series Skazana and Pati. Most recently, he worked on Jan P. Matuszyński’s series Przesmyk and the second season of the Netflix hit The Green Glove Gang.

Passionate about his craft, Maciej relishes the creative phase when the world of the story takes shape before the actors even step on set. He admits that this initial excitement is often followed by the challenge — and thrill — of bringing that vision to life.

Beyond film, Maciej is an avid cyclist, covering each year a distance equal to the Tour de France, a pursuit that helps him unwind and recharge.
