Beata Karaś

Beata is a graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she earned her diploma in the studio of Prof. St. Kulon. She is a painter, graphic artist and sculptor.

She has been connected with the world of film since 2009. She accumulated professional experience working as an assistant of the set designer and 2nd set designer on such productions as: "General Nil" by Ryszard Bugajski," Popieluszko wolność jest w nas " by R. Wieczynski, "Walesa, a man of hope" by Andrzej Wajda, "Reverse" or "Ziarno Prawdy " by Borys Lankosz.

Beata currently works also as an interior decorator. "I'm passionate about historical film-objects, furniture, fabric, as a tool not only to visually describe the protagonist of the script, but also to create the atmosphere of a past world."

She has created interiors as set decorator for such films and tv series as: "Znachor," directed by M. Gazda for Netflix, "Zatoka szpiegów", directed by M. Rogalski, "Hunting for Moths" by M. Rogalski, "Zgoda", "Legions", “Pilecki's Report“ by K. Łukaszewicz, "Mr. T" by M. Krzyształowicz, which won the 2019 ORŁY award for best set design.

Privately, she is a lover of a good book, a beautiful objects and cycling.
